Traditionally the venue of the main program will become the halls and lecture-rooms of St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University, as well as the library premises.
St.Petersburg State Polytechnical University was founded in 1899. Recently SPbSPU became "National Research University", also known in Russia and abroad as Polytechnic Institute — a recognized Russian and world-wide leader in the field of higher engineering and economic education. Currently it also remains at the leading positions in the rating of Russian engineering higher educational institutions.
At the present time in SPbSPU there are 30197 students and postgraduates, 3056 of them are foreign citizens from 98 countries who annually study at different SPbSPU programs. The University is carrying out education in the following areas: engineering, physics, economics, humanities and information technologies.
The main building of the university was constructed more than 100 years ago, but it still keeps traditions and atmosphere of many generations of researchers and professors. The university campus buildings are located in beautiful park.
Majestic interiors of the main reading hall and some other departments and organically combined with modern equipment and networking technologies. Departments involved in information creation and provision, are joined in Library Information Complex.
E-resources have become the important part of the information provision for education and research. The institutional repository of the university started from 2001, had grown to the rich collection of e-resources with 15 thousand titles, including monographs, text-books, conference proceedings, theses and dissertations.
The center of digital reprography possess unique equipment for creation of digital copies of documents from the library collection and university treasures.
The venue of the add-in program will be the Library and High-Performance Center of Stuttgart University, New Public Library of Stuttgart and some other Stuttgart libraries and universities.
